The "ground up" restoration, and the beautiful pink, red and silver lacquer/metal flake paint job were done by my husband, Mike, who has won many awards for the custom cars he has been building for 35 years. The 500 cid motor (translated into metric = 8.2 ltrs.) is 100% original and has 98,000 miles on it. Pink Champagne has been virtually maintenance free. In the 27 years that I have owned it, the only major mechanical parts I have had to replace are both of the transaxles and the radiator!

Of course, what I don't spend on maintenance, I spend on gas! Remember...this car was built when gas was a lot cheaper, and of a better quality than it is today. I get about 8 mpg on the freeway...maybe 10 if I keep my toes out of the carburator...but who can resist all that power!
